DELAC = District English Learner Advisory Committee

District-level English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC)

Each California public school district, grades kindergarten through 12, with 51 or more English learners must form a District-level English Learner Advisory Committee (DELAC) or subcommittee of an existing district-wide advisory committee.

  • Childcare provided in the Kindergarten Aftercare room at ECDC

English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC)

A committee comprised of parents, staff, and community members specifically designated to advise a specific school on English Learner program services. In our district, only Village and Silver Strand Elementary Schools have an ELAC, which is required when there are 21 more more English learners enrolled in a given school.

Silver Strand Elementary School's ELAC meeting schedule:

  • January 19, March 16
  • 2:30-3:15 PM in Room 303
