CUSD Technology Budget Information

The CUSD Technology Budget is reviewed and updated annually.

The 2015-2016 CUSD Technology Budget shows a "bubble" of replacement needs.  CUSD follows a School Board Approved process of Replacement.  Click here for more information about the CUSD Replacement Policy.  The "bubble" affect on replacement is caused by the age of equipment; in some years there are fewer items to replace than in other years based on the age and performance of equipment being used by students and staff.

In particular, the Equipment Replacement Category of the 2015-2016 Technology Budget experienced a bubble of $757,500 increase for replacement of aging equipment as well as one new project.    The areas that caused the bubble in the Equipment Replacement Category are shown below.

"Bubbles" in the Technology Budget occur most frequently in the Equipment Replacement category.  Again, the two types of Equipment Replacement, Single Enterprise-wide versus Staggered Replacement causes this effect.  Items on the Single Enterprise-wide Replacement timeline will cause a bubble, currently every four years.  Click here for more information about the CUSD Replacement Policy.  The projected "bubbles" through 2018 are shown below.  Click here for a printable version.
