Tammy Marble Selected as New Principal of Silver Strand; Niamh Foley Named New Director of Student Services

With the upcoming retirements of Bill Cass, Principal of Silver Strand Elementary School, and Richard Erhard, Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, panel interviews were conducted last week to fill the principal’s position and the position of Director of Student Services. Panel members included administrators; teachers; classified staff; and parents.

Coronado Unified School District is pleased to announce Tammy Marble as the new Principal of Silver Strand Elementary School and Niamh Foley as the new Director of Student Services.

Tammy Marble began her teaching career in Sacramento where she taught preschool and summer school when she was just eighteen years old.  In addition to preschool, Tammy has taught kindergarten and third grade, served as a literacy coach and a language arts specialist. Tammy has worked in Sacramento, Fountain Hills, Scottsdale, Arizona, and most recently, in Santee, where she has served as an assistant principal.

Tammy’s family includes two grown sons, Matt and Josh, her daughter-in-law, Sara, and a beautiful, two and a half year old, granddaughter named Kennedy.  Two new additions are coming soon to Tammy’s family:  in July Tammy will marry her fiancé, James; and her second granddaughter, Peyton, is expected to arrive in early September.

Tammy enjoys reading, biking, hiking, sailing, and entertaining.  Her greatest passion outside of her family, friends, and career is traveling.  This summer Tammy plans to spend a couple of weeks in Fiji.
