Diamonds Are Forever, A 007 Affair

Save the Date for the Upcoming CSF Benefit Auction

We invite the greater Coronado community to join us for the annual Coronado Schools Foundation Benefit Auction on October 14th, 2017. Donna Salof, a long supporter of public education, presents this season’s must-attend event, Diamonds Are Forever, A 007 Affair. Proceeds from this signature gala, held in the glamorous Hotel del Coronado Ballroom, will benefit Coronado’s 3,200 public school children.

Guests will enjoy tray-passed hors d'oeuvres and entertainment in the VIP garden patio reception, followed by a spectacular plated meal in the ballroom. Throughout the evening, guests will get a chance to roll the dice in the much-anticipated Casino Royale. Prior to dancing the night away to the live seven-piece band, attendees will watch the competition heat up with the live auction and paddle raise. With surprises planned throughout the action-packed evening, guests will be captivated during the spectacular affair. Tickets are selling fast so reserve your tickets here today!

To start the festivities and increase the return to support STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) programs within Coronado Unified, the popular Online Auction, hosted this year exclusively by Mary Jo Morgan, Realtor and business partner, will open on October 6th and remain open for bidding until October 23rd. Once the Auction opens, explore the gadgets on display here.

With finesse and tactical precision, business owners have come together to create a lavish showing of items in this year’s Online and Live auctions. The affair will showcase over $200,000 of in-kind donations, which would not be possible without the generous underwriting of many sponsors and community members.

All proceeds benefit Coronado’s public schools. Currently, Coronado Unified receives $1,900 less than the state average, per student, which equates to a $6 million deficit, simply due to our student demographics. CUSD relies on CSF to provide crucial funding to STEAM-related education at our schools. See how your donations are supporting programs, including teacher salaries, for the 2017-18 school year.

We hope to raise the “gold” bar by making this year’s annual benefit auction the strongest yet, ensuring our schools have the necessary funding to maintain and expand STEAM pathways, TK (Transitional Kindergarten) - Grade 12. Sign up now to either attend the event or reserve your slot in the anticipated online auction. Contact the CSF office directly at 437-8059, ext. 1, 3 or 5 or e-mail for more information or to make a donation.
